Donald Trump's New Post Office

Donald Trump was recently awarded the rights to redevelop the 113 year old Old Post Office Pavilion on Pennsylvania Avenue in Washington, D.C..  He is going to turn the structure into an high end luxury hotel (of course).   Until then, it will remain one of the unsung jewels and little known attraction in the capitol, offering the very best view of the city, without all the lines.  Did I mention it is free to visit and go up into the bell tower?   If you want to see this awesome building before it gets "Trumped," you better hurry.

Looking down Pennsylvania Avenue while standing at Freedom Plaza (currently "Occupied").  The Old Post Office Pavilion tower can be seen on the right.  The National Park Service runs a FREE elevator to the top.  It is unknown if this will continue once the building in made into one of Trump's hotels, but doesn't seem likely.

Inside the Post Office
A cafe seating area on the ground floor of the Pavilion.  This is a great place to grab a slice of pizza and a drink from one of the little cafes and rest your feet inside this awesome building.

I wasn't supposed to move the wires or otherwise poke my camera thru them to get this picture, and there were signs telling me as much, but the view was just too stunning not to get an unobstructed shot.
